NOMA attends 2016 USA Science and Engineering Festival
NOMA once again participated in the national USA Science and Engineering Festival held in Washington DC. This year NOMA was a member of the Building Sciences Career Pavilion. The mission of the science festival is to re-invigorate the interest of our nation’s youth in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) by producing and presenting the most compelling, exciting, educational and entertaining science festival in the United States. The NOMA Booth activity involved building towers from jellybeans and toothpicks teaching the young builders about design, structure, symmetry and aesthetics. Thank you to NOMA members and supporters Lakeisha Henderson, Katherine Williams, Bernard Suber, Michael Thomas, Kathy Dixon, and Tobi Ogunleye for their help with setting up and staffing the booth.
